Ensures silky, sparkling water, prevents scum and waterline ring, eliminates
chemical odors, keeps filters clear, extends filter life and reduces
shocking with just a few capfuls each week.
Pool Perfect is a natural enzyme product that biodegrades organic
contaminants to reduce maintenance, prevent scum lines, eliminate chemical
odors and produce clear, perfect water.
Dosage: 5 oz. per 10,000 gallons.
Why use Pool Perfect Enzymes?
Your pool water is constantly absorbing organic material from its
environment.
What kind of organic material, you ask?
Organic contaminants come in a wide variety, including:
• suntan & sunscreen lotions
• body oils, sweat, (urine…blech!)
• cosmetics & hair care products
• airborne vehicle fuels & exhaust
• decaying vegetation
and the list goes on…
These organic contaminants build-up in your pool water. Typically organics
have been treated with chlorine or other sanitizing chemicals…unfortunately
sanitizers do not do an efficient job. Sanitizers like chlorine oxidize
organics and turn them into a sludge like waste that turns into a scum line
on your pool walls and create the strong chemical type odors common to many
pools.
This is where Pool Perfect Enzymes shine. Natural enzymes, like those found
in your own body, are designed by nature to break down or biodegrade
organics.
The enzymes in Pool Perfect literally break down organic waste to basic
elements like carbon dioxide and water, that are then easily absorbed by the
pool environment.
The result?
• eliminates skin & eye irritation
• eliminates strong chemical odors
• no scum line
• clean pool filters less
• reduced pool maintenance
• makes water feel soft & silky
• enhances any sanitizer program

High metal content
in pool water can cause staining and discolored water. HTH® Metal Control is
a mild acid used to remove iron, copper, manganese and other metals from the
water. It also removes metal stains and reduces the amount of calcium
carbonate (scale) deposited on pool surfaces. So in addition to removing
metal stains and metal build-up, it provides a strong defense, preventing
colored water and stains from forming.
Application
Add directly to your pool water, concentrating (if applicable) on
affected areas.
Dosage /
Frequency
Add 1 quart per 10,000 gallons of water for every ppm of metal.
If metal concentration exceeds 2 ppm, add Clarifier or Super
Concentrated Clarifier in addition to the metal control.
Safety
Read and follow all label directions and warnings carefully.

HTH Filter Cleaner is a product designed to remove oil,
grease, dirt, and soap from all makes of cartridge filters. It is composed
of an acidic solution which helps to break down organic and inorganic mater
that accumulates in cartridge filters. HTH Filter Cleaner Works well with
any type of cartridge filter.
Application
Soaking
For cartridges and removable D.E. (diatomaceous earth) elements:
Remove elements and rinse with clear water.
Prepare a solution by adding 1 quart of HTH Filter Cleaner to 2 gallons of
warm water in a large plastic bucket or garbage can. Prepare enough solution
to cover filter. For heavily soiled cartridges add 2 quarts of HTH Filter
Cleaner to the 2 gallons of water.
Place the filter cartridge or D.E. element in the cleaning solution and
allow soaking overnight (12 hours). Lightly soiled elements can be soaked
for as little as 4 hours.
Rinse filter thoroughly with clean water and replace.
Filter elements should be allowed to dry before installing in the filter
unit if they are going to be stored.
Backwashing
To improve backwash and to clean sand and D.E. filters:
Turn off pump and set valves to backwash position.
During backwash, slowly add HTH Filter Cleaner to skimmer.
*Use 1 quart for sand filters up to 2 feet in
diameter or D.E. filters up to 1 foot in
diameter.
*Use 2 quarts for larger filters.
Backwash until the backwash water is clean and no foam is visible.
Return filter to normal operation.
To combine backwashing and soaking period:
Backwash for up to 1 minute and leave valves in backwash position.
Fill the filter tank with a solution of HTH Filter Cleaner in water: Either
prepare the solution as above (see “Soaking, #2) and use the pump to feed
the solution through the pump strainer (requires 7 to 20 gallons of water)
or add HTH Filter Cleaner directly to the filter or directly through the
skimmer.
* Use 2 quarts for sand filters up to 2 feet in
diameter or D.E. filters to 1 foot in diameter.
* Use 4 quarts for larger filters. Allow the
filter to soak several hours (12 hours) or
overnight.
Next day, backwash until effluent water is clear (no foam), then return to
normal operation.
Dosage / Frequency
Use as needed. See detailed instructions above (“Application”).
Safety
Read and follow all label directions and warnings carefully.
Useful Tips
1 pint to 4 gallons of water will clean up to 55 square feet of filter area.
Add cartridges to solution and soak for 3-6 hours, rinse with high pressure
hose nozzle.

Spray 'N' Rinse Filter
Cartridge Cleaner for Pools and Spas and D.E. filter elements is a product designed to remove
Minerals and other debris from filter element. It removes Oils,
Minerals and Scales. Non-Soak formula and extends the
life of your filter. Spray 'N'
Rinse Filter Cartridge Cleaner Works well with any type of cartridge filter.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Remove D.E. or cartridge filter element from filter
casing. Rinse off loose material on element. thoroughly saturate
filter element with water. Spray cleaner over total surface area of
filter element for maximum effect. Let set 3-6 minutes. Rinse
element THOROUGHLY with hose (foaming in pool may occur if filter element
is not completely rinsed). Especially heavy soiled filter element may
need second application. Removes scale, minerals, dead algae, body oils
and other debris.
A Stabilizer
(conditioner) is a chemical that prevents the ultra-violet
rays of the sun from prematurely dissipating the chlorine
level. Pool Stabilizer reduces sanitizer consumption
by up to 50% and should be added at pool opening, or
refilling. It is important to test
(click here for test strips) your stabilizer
level because stabilizer stays in your water indefinitely.
If stabilizer was added in the past, you generally just add
it based on the gallons of water added this season. Too much
stabilizer can cause cloudy water. One pound of
stabilizer treats approx. 5000 gallons of water...
The sun’s ultraviolet (UV)
rays will make the chlorine in an outdoor pool dissipate quickly. In
fact, an ideal level of chlorine in an “unstabilized” pool or spa can
be lost in less than two hours on a bright sunny day, due to the UV
rays of the sun. Cyanuric acid acts as a “stabilizer” that helps
chlorine hold up better when exposed to the UV rays. You can think of
cyanuric acid as blocking the effect that the sunlight has on breaking
down the chlorine—kind of like a sunscreen for your pool.
Floc is short for flocculant.
Flocculants are a chemical that make small particles join with each other to
make bigger particles. This is handy for swimming pool owners because their
pools tend to get little bits of dead algae and skin in them that make the
water go cloudy and these can be too small for the filter to strain out.
There are two main types of
flocculant but they are both the same chemical - Aluminium Sulphate also
know as just plain 'alum'. In one form it is in flakey granules in the other
it is a solid tablet (kibbled alum). The latter is used to 'polish' up a
pool that is getting a bit cloudy the former as a last resort on a truly
mucky pool (or as a first resort when opening up after winter).
Kibbled alum tablets are added
to the water via the skimmer basket. Don't put them in the circulation pump
strainer basket because the water in there goes to fast for them. Keep your
filter going full time. The alum dissolves and forms a coating on top of the
filter sand. Then, as the little particles come by it grabs them and keeps
them. But in doing so it blocks up the top of the filter and can increase
the filter pressure. If the pressure gets too high the coating breaks up and
gets washed through the filter and back into the pool taking all the little
bits with it and you are back to square one. So, always thoroughly backwash
the filter before putting the alum in and keep an eye on the pressure while
it is in there. If it gets too high backwash add more tablets. In any case
backwash after 48hrs of filtration and if the pool isn't clear enough do it
again. It may take three or four goes before you get it perfectly clear.
There are other chemicals you
can use to clarify your pool, the term floc tends to apply to Alum.
Pool Clarifiers, as
they are usually called, do the same as Alum in that they gather small
particles together but they work by putting an electrical charge on the
particles. The general name for them is Cationic Liquid Clarifiers and there
are many types. They work very well and quite quickly also.
Cloudy pool water is often caused by small organic particles (dirt, oils,
lotions, dead algae) and minerals (iron, copper, plaster, calcium) that are
too small to be trapped between the grains of sand filter. When used
in accordance with directions, Sand*Rite creates a fine mesh on the sand
surface that traps small organic particles and minerals. Sand*Rite is
formulated with active ingredients to remove the trace minerals of iron and
copper that may be in solution (minerals in solution are normally
unfilterable). Using Sand*Rite will insure the thorough filtration
necessary to return clarity to your pool water.
Bug Away helps Mother Nature rid
your swimming pool surface of nuisance diving and floating insects.
Bug Away makes it impossible for insects to say on top the surface. By
acting as a wetting agent:, the insects soon become too wet and sink to the
bottom where they can be easily removed by vacuuming.
No waiting period is required after Bug Away is
applied. Bug Away may be used whenever insects need to be removed from
the pool water surfaces.
Directions For Use:
Apply 10 ounces of Bug Away per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Pour
directly into the pool with the pump running. A second application may
be required if there are large amounts of insects. Bug Away may cause
minor foaming which will later dissipate.

Flip-Out !™ Biguanide Remover 2-Lb
Jar For swimming pools
CONCENTRATED COMPOUND THAT REMOVES
BIGUANIDES EASY!
Use to convert
pool water to Chlorine or E-Z Pool™ .
REMOVES AND
CONVERTS BAQUACIL® AND SOFTSWIM® POOLS TO CHLORINE OR E-Z POOL WITHOUT
LOSING USE OF THE POOL!
Safe for all
pool types. Concentrated formula removes biguanides and easily converts your
pool back to chlorine or any other sanitizing system. Simply add 2 lbs. per
10,000 gallons of water, wait a few days and test the biguanide level.
Biguanide level must fall below 15 ppm to ensure a smooth conversion.
Quickly Oxidizes Biguanide Clarifies Pool water Swim While Converting!!
Flip-out! is a uniquely blended compound that breaks down biguanide and
removes it from pool water, usually in 3 to 4 days. As an added bonus, the
water stays clear and swimable while the conversion is taking place.
Flip-out! is not only fast and efficient, it is the most economical way to
"flip" a biguanide pool. Use flip-out! to convert biguanide pools to E-Z
Pool or to chlorine.
CONVERTING FROM
BIGUANIDES: Filter continuously while converting. Test for metals and
sequester if needed, then...
1. Add 2 lbs. of Flip-out! per
10,000 gallons of water. Add one 3" chlorine tablet per 10,000 gallons to
the skimmer. Wait 3 – 4 days. 2. Test water sample. If biguanides level is
15 ppm or lower, proceed to Step 3. If biguanides level is above 15 ppm,
repeat Step 1.
3. Balance water: TA = 80 –
120 ppm; pH = 7.6; Calcium Hardness = 350 – 400 ppm (which is a little
higher than normal, but well within acceptable ranges...a very important
step for E-Z Pool).
4. Clean sand filter
thoroughly or change the sand; change, clean D.E. filter very well and
replace media with fresh D.E. powder; Clean Cartridge Filters chemically
and/or replace with a new cartridge.
5. Add weekly dose of E-Z Pool
and use "Weekly Dosage" 3" chlorine tablet to the skimmer basket if
converting to E-Z Pool. If converting to a Chlorine based sanitizer, keep
one 3" chlorine tablet per 10,000 gallons in skimmer basket or floater for
14 days (21 days if you had a previous Biguanide based water mold problem).
6. Run on E-Z Pool for 7 – 10
days. Or if Chlorine based only, use only Tri-chlor tablets this duration.
7. Clean filter media
thoroughly, again: Sand – chemically clean and rinse. DE – Flush, rinse and
re-charge (3/4 charge). Cartridge – Clean and rinse element thoroughly if in
good condition.
8. Follow E-Z Pool "Routine
Weekly Maintenance" instructions or begin Chlorine Pool Care routine.
9. Monitor filter weekly: Sand
– Backwash weekly or as needed. DE – Flush and recharge when pressure rises
5 – 10 psi over clean start-up pressure. Cartridge – Check and rinse clean
weekly or when pressure rises 5 – 10 psi over clean start-up pressure.
A "chlorine only" treatment
regimen may be adopted in lieu of E-Z Pool after Flip-out conversion if
desired. This is the Simplest, Fastest and Most Economical way to convert
from biguanide systems!

A:
The best test is improved water quality. You'll notice a big
difference. Visual clarity and sparkle, at 0.5ppm chlorine levels show
Nature2 is working properly.
Q:
After it's installed, will pool maintenance change?
A:
Yes, you will reduce chemical use and maintenance time. Basket
cleaning, vacuuming and water testing will be the same as before, but
the water balance will be easier, meaning there's simply less to do.
Q:
Do I still need to use chlorine? Why?
A:
Yes, you need to use a small amount of residual oxidizer. With the
Nature2 system*
you can reduce the clorine level to just 0.5ppm. We recommend low
levels of free chlorine (0.5 PPM free chlorine minimum). You won't
feel, smell or be affected by chlorine at this level. *The
Nature2 system consists of the patented Nature2
technology used in conjunction with a chlorine delivery device or
0.5ppm of an EPA registered pool product.
Q:
Is Nature2 compatible?
A:
Nature2 is compatible with other products. Nature2
can be used with every type of chemical treatment program available
except bromine and bromide based chemicals, biguanide products
(Baquacil* or SoftSwim**) and copper-based algaecides.
Q:
Is Nature2 a filter?
A:
No. A filter removes particles and debris, while Nature2
sanitizes pool water by destroying bacteria and algae, which are too
small to be caught by a filter. You still need a filter when using a
Nature2 system.
Q:
Is Nature2 an "ionizer"?
A:
No. Ionizers electrically discharge copper (or metal alloy) ions into
water. Ionizers can deliver ions via an electrical current
(electrodes) or salt dissolution. When do I replace the cartridge?
Each model comes with a reminder to tell you when to replace it.
Q:
When do I replace the cartridge?
A:
Each model comes with a reminder to tell you when to replace it.
Q:
What affects cartridge life?
A:
Nothing — including filter run time, heavy use, hot weather, and water
temperature.
Q:
How do I dispose of used cartridges?
A:
The minerals inside Nature2 are harmless, so it is safe for
disposal with other household trash.
Q:
Can Nature2 stain my pool?
A:
No. Nature2 minerals remain well below levels that might
cause staining. In fact, Nature2 offers a "no-stain"
warranty.
Q:
How often do I need to super-oxidize (shock)?
A:
Because of the efficiency of Nature2, super-oxidation is
needed less often. You only need to super-oxidize if the pool becomes
dull or cloudy. The start-up of each new cartridge requires an initial
shock with chlorine. Follow
chlorine manufacturer's label/instruction to super-oxidize.

non-chlorine shock products...Tests for non-chlorine, pH and Total
Aklalinity
Quickest and easiest way to test spa water for
Monopersulfate (shock), PH and Alkalinity.
Simply dip strip into water, then compare colors on strip to those on the
bottle. It's that easy ! Say goodbye to those messy dropper bottles forever
!
Monopersulfate is
an oxidizing agent used in mineral purification systems such as Frog®,
SpaFrog®, Nature2®, PoolRx™, or SpaRx™.*
Just dip an AquaChek Monopersulfate strip in your pool or spa water for one
second and remove it immediately. You get test results in seconds!
To keep your pool at its best, test at each end a minimum of twice a week,
and test your spa before each use. It’s also a good idea to write down your
results each time you test.
Comes with complete instructions. 50 strips per bottle.
AquaChek Monopersulfate has added directions in 15 Languages to the product
insert! English, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German,
Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish and Turkish.
Monopersulfate is a strong oxidizer capable of eliminating contaminants from
your pool or spa (hot tub). It can help you to maintain crystal clear water.
Our AquaChek™ test strip measures Monopersulfate in the approximate range of
400 – 7,000 ppm (mg/L). The presence of chlorine or bromine may increase the
reading of this strip.
You can use monopersulfate in
two different ways:
If the primary sanitizer in
your pool or spa is chlorine or bromine, you can use monopersulfate as a
shock chemical. This is something you do periodically when the
contaminants have accumulated to a high level in the water. To shock the
water, you raise the monopersulfate to a high level for a short period of
time. It will oxidize (destroy) the contaminants that have accumulated in
the water, helping your sanitizer get “caught up” with its job. Once the
monopersulfate dissipates, the chlorine or bromine will resume destroying
low levels of contaminants.
You can also use
monopersulfate in some alternate sanitizing systems in place of chlorine
or bromine, although it still recommended that you maintain a minimal
amount of one of those two in the water. Monopersulfate is used in several
different mineral purification systems such as Nature2 and
Frog®. In this case, you should test the water frequently to ensure that
your water has a proper level of monopersulfate. Consult the chemical
manufacturer’s recommendation concerning the amount you should add to your
water.

pH
We use pH as an index to
express how acidic or basic a solution is. (The scientific definition
of pH is “the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration”.)
A pH greater than 7.0 is basic, and a pH lower than 7.0 is acidic. In
pools and spas, it is important to maintain the water in the slightly
basic range of 7.2 to 7.8. The National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPI),
the industry association in the United States, has set a standard of
7.2 to 7.6 as the ideal pH.
If pH Is Low:
The water can corrode surfaces, metal equipment or fixtures.
Swimmers and bathers can experience discomfort from burning
eyes and itchy skin.
The chlorine may dissipate more quickly.
The water may cause pitting and etching of plaster surfaces.
If pH Is High:
Calcium and metals tend to come out of solution (the opposite
of dissolving) at high pH levels, creating the potential for
staining and scale formation. The calcium and metals will actually
create deposits and discoloration on pool walls and equipment.
Swimmers and bathers can experience discomfort from burning
eyes and itchy skin.
High pH can contribute to cloudy water.
Alkalinity
Total alkalinity is the
measure of the amount of alkaline buffers (primarily carbonates
and bicarbonates) in your water. These alkaline substances
buffer the water against sudden changes in pH. Total alkalinity
is considered the key to water balance. It is the first
parameter you should balance when making routine adjustments to
your water.
If you neglect to check the total alkalinity in your pool or
spa, you may have trouble balancing the pH. You may also notice
that pH fluctuates suddenly despite your best efforts to keep it
in the ideal range. If the alkalinity is too low, anything
introduced to the water will have an immediate impact on pH.
Abrupt shifts in pH can cause scaling or corrosion of metal
equipment and fixtures as well as other problems. When the total
alkalinity is high, the pH has a tendency to drift upward,
causing scale to form.
Maintaining an ideal level of alkalinity will protect your pool
or spa and its equipment from the harmful effects of sudden pH
fluctuations. Think of the alkalinity as training wheels: it
keeps the pH in balance without allowing it to tip too far to
either side. Of course the pH can still drift upward or
downward, but that change will happen gradually as long as the
alkalinity falls within the ideal range. The ideal range of
total alkalinity for pools and spas is between 80 and 120 ppm
(mg/L).
When the total alkalinity is too low, add sodium bicarbonate. If
the total alkalinity is too high, you can lower it by using
muriatic acid or sodium bisulfate.

Bromine
Bromine is a popular
pool and spa sanitizer often used instead of chlorine. Bromine
has some distinct differences from chlorine. One advantage is
that bromine works better for spas / hot tubs (with hotter water
and lower water volume) than chlorine does. On the minus side,
bromine is sensitive to sunlight, deteriorating rapidly when
exposed to the sun. It can also be more expensive than chlorine.
For these reasons, bromine is less popular than chlorine for use
in outdoor pools.
There are two forms of bromine, free and combined. Together
these two are called total bromine. Both forms of bromine are
sanitizers, meaning that they can kill bacteria, algae or other
living organisms in the water. Be sure to use a test kit that
measures total bromine, since that is the best indicator of the
level of sanitizer in your water. The ideal concentration of
total bromine in a swimming pool is 3 to 5 ppm. The ideal in a
hot tub or spa is 4 to 6 ppm. (In spas the level should be
slightly higher level due to the smaller volume and the higher
temperature of the water.)
You have to monitor the bromine level continually, almost daily,
as it will fluctuate constantly. Environmental conditions
(leaves, rain) and usage (how many folks are enjoying the pool
or spa) will add contaminants in the water. Those contaminants
will decrease the bromine existing in the water. Be sure to test
the bromine before entering the water. Even if the system is
dormant or not in use, you should test the bromine level at
least weekly to prevent any build-up of bacteria or algae.
Hardness
Water hardness
occurs as an indirect side effect of various chemical
compounds. Calcium and magnesium are the two primary
minerals that make up hardness in water. Like alkalinity and
pH, hardness affects the tendency of the water to be
corrosive or scale-forming. (Scale is a deposit that forms
on pool walls and equipment when the mineral content of the
water is too high.) By maintaining the ideal ranges for
hardness and alkalinity, you can keep scale formation to a
minimum.
Low hardness levels require immediate attention! They can be
very dangerous to your system. Water that is not properly
saturated with hardness—water in which the hardness level is
too low—will be very corrosive, causing significant damage
to metal pipes and fixtures as well as plaster. You must be
sure to balance hardness before adding any sanitizer to the
water. Otherwise, the water will become even more aggressive
(corrosive); it can cause severe damage in a short period of
time.
When the hardness level is low, increase the hardness
immediately to limit the damage of corrosive water. You can
increase the hardness level by adding a chemical like
calcium chloride. When the hardness level is too high,
excessive scale formation occurs, and the water may become
cloudy or discolored. Elevated pH and warmer temperatures
will increase scale build-up too. If the hardness level is
too high, you can partially drain and refill with fresh
water.
The ideal level of hardness for your pool or spa water is
from 200 – 400 ppm (mg/L). You should test hardness when
adding fresh water, and re-test until you have balanced the
water hardness properly. After that, test hardness a minimum
of once per month throughout the season. If you use calcium
hypochlorite as a sanitizer, you need to test more
frequently to ensure that the level has not exceeded the
upper limit.

Cyanuric Acid
(Stabilizer)
The sun’s ultraviolet (UV)
rays will make the chlorine in an outdoor pool dissipate quickly. In
fact, an ideal level of chlorine in an “unstabilized” pool or spa can
be lost in less than two hours on a bright sunny day, due to the UV
rays of the sun. Cyanuric acid acts as a “stabilizer” that helps
chlorine hold up better when exposed to the UV rays. You can think of
cyanuric acid as blocking the effect that the sunlight has on breaking
down the chlorine—kind of like a sunscreen for your pool.
You should maintain an ideal level of cyanuric acid, 30 to 50 ppm
(mg/L), to prevent rapid chlorine loss. If the cyanuric acid level is
too low, you may need to add more to the water. However, be advised
that cyanuric acid will make the pH of the water lower (more acidic),
so you may have to adjust the pH upward as well.
On the other hand, too much cyanuric acid will reduce the beneficial
effect of your chlorine, leading to stains or cloudy water. Some
chlorine compounds already contain an amount of cyanuric acid. If you
are using dichlor or trichlor as your primary chlorine sanitizer, you
are already introducing cyanuric acid along with the chlorine. If the
cyanuric acid level is your pool or spa is too high, you will need to
partially drain and refill with fresh water.
When you first fill your pool or spa, test the cyanuric acid level
until you have added enough to reach the ideal range. After that, test
cyanuric acid a minimum of once a month throughout the pool season. If
you are using dichlor or trichlor, you will have to test cyanuric acid
more frequently to ensure that the level has not exceeded the upper
limit.
Free Chlorine
Every sanitizer has two
key functions, to sanitize (kill bacteria and all living
organisms) and also oxidize (destroy contaminants and waste). The
most popular pool and spa sanitizer is chlorine. Chlorine is also
classified as a disinfectant, meaning that it is capable of
killing bacteria, algae and other organic material instantly. All
chlorine does the same thing when it is added to the water,
regardless of the type of chlorine added. It forms free available
chlorine. Free chlorine is the form of chlorine that kills
bacteria, algae and disease-causing organisms. It is the attack
dog that guards your pool against microbiotic intruders. (In
general, you wouldn’t want a dog in the pool, but this is an
exception.)
You must maintain free chlorine at a sufficient level to disinfect
potential contaminants on contact. The more chlorine in the water,
the more it can sanitize and oxidize the water. (Remember that
sanitizing and oxidizing are the processes that chlorine uses to
keep the water clear and clean.) However, if the free chlorine
level gets too high, it can make the water uncomfortable for
swimmers. The trick is to keep the free chlorine level in the
ideal range. In a swimming pool, keep free chlorine at a minimum
of 1 ppm (parts per million) and a maximum of 10 ppm, with an
ideal concentration of 1 to 3 ppm.
In spas the level needs to be maintained at a slightly higher
level due to the smaller volume and higher temperature. The
minimum level should be 2 ppm in a spa, again no higher than 10
ppm, and ideally 3 to 5 ppm.
pH
We
use pH as an index to express how acidic or basic a solution
is. (The scientific definition of pH is “the negative
logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration”.) A pH greater
than 7.0 is basic, and a pH lower than 7.0 is acidic. In pools
